"For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: 'If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?' And whenever the answer has been 'No' for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something."

A Little Bit About Me

Taking a leaf out of Steve Jobs’ book, I instigated changes in my life when I was no longer fulfilled by how I was spending my days. After graduating in 1979, I worked and travelled internationally for two years, gaining experience of ‘blue’ as well as ‘white’ collar work. I returned to the UK to build my career, and gained in-depth business experience in blue-chip corporate environments: Direct Sales; Technical Sales; Marketing and Business Development; culminating in starting up and running my own company - which is still going strong today without me. Since re-qualifying as a Psychologist, I’ve worked in the NHS and in private practice, including delivering EAP services to West Midlands Police. I’m trained in a range of approaches, but am best described as an ‘integrative’ practitioner, i.e. I tailor my approach to fit the needs of individual clients, rather than trying to fit ‘square pegs into round holes’. I don’t have all the answers, but I do have a lot of information and experience that will help you find the answers.

One final thought:
I hope everyone reading this is having a really good day... but if you’re not, just know that in every new minute that passes you have an opportunity to start to change that!

"I want to say ‘thank you’ but it really doesn’t express how I feel." Show/Hide

I have really valued the time I have spent with you, not only for the benefits to myself but also for your warmth & humanity… I know I have a way to go, but I do believe that you have supported me to ‘walk’ more steadily & certainly more self-assured! I am starting to love me, to love the person I am – I thank you for that……The secondment offered has now been made into a permanent position. I’m on the move!

"Karen has that rare trinity of powerful intellect, empathy and downright pragmatism." Show/Hide

My experience of working with her was enlightening, challenging and with her wit and warmth uplifting. Karen is a great ambassador to her profession, you know with absolute certainty she is going to move you forward resulting in improved confidence and increased self insight

"… a huge thank you for all the help & support you have given me." Show/Hide

I know you are just doing your job but I have found you excellent & really easy to talk to & be open with, yet you have always been extremely professional. It’s only fair to say that you have helped me turn my life around & I am so very grateful for you support & help……

"...I wanted say thank you in person. You have given me my sister back..."

"...I’ve come miles in these last few months, I feel I’m breathing new air..."
